What are Judo gis made from?
Judo gis are made primarily from cotton, have various levels of reinforcement, reinforced stitching and a variety of colors. Single weave and double weave options are available, too.
Why are there different colors of Judo gi?
In competition, the Judoka wear either a White or Blue Judo gi. A black Judo gi is worn by some Judoka during practice, keeping their High Quality Judo gi in pristine order.
What are ways to personalize a Judo gi?
Judo instructors will typically have a specific placement of specific patches that you should follow on your Judo gi. The specific Judo gi patches can communicate Judo lineage, affiliation, focus of Judo training, and much more. Patches should be secured with double stitching, as they can otherwise be ripped off inadvertently (or advertently!) during Judo randori training.
