This is the Black version of the famous Tokaido Gi, only available in Regular(Traditional) cut. This 100% Brushed Cotton Uniform is made of Tokaido's special "Ultimate" cotton no. 10 canvas, known throughout the world for durability and friction resistance. It is perhaps the finest Black Heavyweight Karate Uniform available.  Note: The black gi has a stonewashed look after washing. This is natural part of having an authentic Tokaido black gi.

    The Rolls Royce of GIs! None better. I am tall and thin and this is the only GI that fits me. Comfortable, quality made and looks good. Girls chase me down the street when I wear this GI. Great service by MyKarateStore makes this a no brainer! Treat yourself!!!!

    Black Authentic Tokaido gi

    This is the Tokaido dogi that my ninjitsu sensei recommended. It feels durable but comfortable. Some of the Tokaido uniforms advertised on the internet at made in China or Pakistan, but these black Tokaido uniforms are only made in Japan.

    Courteous and Professional Service, Outstanding GI

    I have trained for over 29 years and worn many different brands of gi's. Though I have yet to actually use this one (Tokaido Ultimate, Traditional Cut, All Black), I have washed it (cold - and line dried) and can confirm that it remains soft and feels durable. The sizing appears spot on. I am 5'10 (or a shy by .5 inches) and 157 lbs. The size 5 fit big before the wash as expected. After the wash the pants are almost spot on as far as length while the top, though it remains a bit large, is comfortably large with a bit more shrinkage likely to occur with the next wash. I was relieved as there is some confusion in the community as to sizing. This gi is made in Japan and I thought the sizing would be off. But, the size 5 is the correct size. To be clear, I wore a Shureido for many years, it too was a size 5, and this is comparable in sizing. I can say from my own research that the price and availability are the best on the we. Further, the customer assistance is outstanding. I relayed my fears as to the size immediately after purchasing it. I received a courteous, helpful, accommodating reply email almost immediately. Though as it turns out, the accommodations offered were not needed because this one fit. I will order from mykaratestore.com in the future for all my uniforms needs due to the customer service and the outstanding products at very reasonable prices.
